    nVidia System Tools freezes Windows.

    Whenever I open Nvidia Performance, System update or System Monitor my computer completely freezes. The fans still run and the screen is still on but everything is still. The only fix is to reset the thing.

    I've tried every version I can find, same result. What's wrong?

    Have you tried uninstalling, and then reinstalling, your video drivers? Video driver problems/corruption are the biggest source of system freezes. It's quite possible that when the NVidia tool attempts to interact with the driver, something's not set correctly, and that's hanging the system.
