    I am looking for a gadget that shows the hdd temperature, and a graphical history only if possible, I have goggled and checked the gadget website without luck, the only one i found was by a company called O&O and it did not work.

    The new Seagate Momentus XT hdd`s have a rep of running hot, I just want to keep an eye on it, as high temperature is not good thing.

    Seagate engineers would have taken care of the max temps in their design. By monitoring the temps, you are not going to achieve anything.

    Outside of gadgets which access HWmonitor (or Everest, et al), I've never found one. The O&O gadget didn't work for me either.

    If you are so inclined, you could build the gadget yourself. At a minimum, a Windows Gadget is a XML manifest and a HTML file with some scripting. The script can be either Javascript or VBscript. A quick Google search yields lots of VBScripts for accessing SMART data - most are through WMI calls.

    Could be a fun weekend project ...
