hello everyone,
so i'm leaving home and got mom an EeePC so we can keep in touch. i'm trying it now and the skype that came in with computer is able to start a phone call with my other computer just fine. but only the video feed from my computer doesn't show correctly on the EeePC. the picture is frozen on the first scene from when i turn on my camera. what could be the cause of this issue? any idea how to solve it?
could it be because i ran windows update?
i prefer not to mess with the programs installed, but could it be because of the old skype version? the current version on the pc is 3.6 and 3.8 is already out. i clicked on the check for updates and inside the program itsself and i got a message saying mine is uptodate. could it be because eeepc has different version?
plz reply asap. i'm leaving tomorrow night. so i have 24 hours to fix this.

Sounds like your webcam is the issue..try updating your webcam drivers first..
If it doesnt work try re-installing the latest version of SkyPE.
Goodluck -
*update*
I've downloaded all windows updates, i've downloaded latest skype 3.8, i've downloaded bios updates (battery, cpu clock...) but still not solution to the problem.
can anyone please help me out?
i've googled a bit and it turned that people who have this problem are the ones using logitech cameras and so they found a solution for THEM but not ppl in my case as its related to the sound feature in the webcam (something isn't included in my asus comp)
help me PLEASE!
