I recently installed vista ultimate after having basic. i want to factory restore my laptop in order to remove all the programs off my computer because i used 140 GB of memory and then I deleated all my games and it said that it removed all of the games but i still have 120 gb used up but my games were the only things that really took up space? so how would I go about either getting my memory back or factory restoring my computer?

Hmmm, gee it might help if we had a clue what BRAND and MODEL of laptop you had.

If you delete files they go into the waste basket and sit there still using hard drive space until you empty the waste bin. You might check this first. (I don't know what the exact terminology is in Vista.)

You can just either reformat your notebook and start from scratch by re-installing your Vista Ultimate; or, you can use a software that erases or deletes any file type in this link.

I suggest you just reformat your notebook to thoroughly and fully restore your desired factory settings and format. It may take long but it is worth the time if you don't want to have troubles with missing files or error because deleting the huge amount of memory (120GB) can also take with it some of your system files, except you use a software from the above link.

    Hope this helped :)
