    ok i have an avi file with a compressed audio track (The California Raisins claymation special). the thing is i have to have the volume up really high just to hear the voices. is there a way to fix this? ive tried virtual dub i dont know what im doing.

    use AVI Demux, load the file, video to 'copy' audio to match the existing type, Filters to automatic gain. Save file (remember to add the .AVI extension).

    PS If you don't know the existing audio type, use MP3 128 Kbs CBR Sample rate 48 KHz. That works for most AVI stuff.
