VLC player.
Go to File> open Network Stream.
Paste the link of the Radio stream in HTTP.
Then go to Capture Device.
Select your audio device & you can record the stream. -
-
Radiotracker works as well to record from internet radio.

HOWEVER, if I stay on the Network stream page (see "capture.jpg" below) and click on the Stream/Save option and then click settings to the right of that I get a new screen. (See "capture2.jpg" below.) If I use the settings indicated I get a capture file, BUT it plays back at half speed. Any ideas what the hell I might be doing wrong? I have tried several combos of settings.

use Audacity
VLC is little difficult to use.
use need to Visit Temporary files to Retrieve it.
but on Audacity it saves for you as an mp3 file. -

Actually I got VLC to work but only if the source was streaming MP3. When the source was streaming something in AAC+ the transcode to MP3 came out at half speed.

wondering if this is legal....
-
Hello all,
I have found that in Windows Quintessential Player is about the easiest to use for recording streams.
IG -
yes its LEgal....
people have been recording off Radio for Years.
and this is not even a Radio...its just internet Radio. -
Why shouldn't it be legal?I' ve been using radiotracker to record some internet radio stations and I don't feel like I'm doing something illegal. And after all, the thing is that as long as the recordings are for your own personal use and are not shared on some sort of p2p networks or something like that it should be totally ok to record internet radio.I mean,is this not the same thing as recording, in the old days, some radio show on the cassette?Nobody considered that illegal then.

it is MADE FOR RECORDING RADIO -
I'm new on this forum and I have a question for you. I've just got a demo version of Radiotracker, I find it a good soft, its features are very useful especially the fact that it downloads MP3 from radio stations. But my big problem is that I don't find the downloaded tracks, I don't know where this tool saves the files. Any help?? -
Hi cassie,
you should look on the right side of the program, you have there a button called folder or smth like that, if u press it should open the folder where radiotracker saves the recordings. -
..and another thing you can do to make it easier to find your files is to go to save options and choose a location that is more suitable and accessible for you.
-
Thanks for your help, I wasn't so hard, I had to be more attentive, cause I'm not very good in computers or softwares that's why I got confused.
-
Well, you don't need to be good with computers, you just need to find the right place to ask the questions.

The best & easiest. -
I second Audacity, just make sure to download the LAME mp3 encoder with it, in order to save mp3 files. -
-
^^go to your browser history
if you played it with a media player..then the player has a URL cache in its Program files folder -
looks like someone else was faster than me at answering your question cassie.Anyways he makes a good point, it might work and I never would have thought of that.
