I had a buddy help me install my windows 10 pro OS's on my computers. Now I am getting my subscription will expire soon alerts. Obviously the disk we used was NOT official. How can I go back to my dell windows home keys on my two computers? I wanted pro for the remote desktop aspects of the program. However, I have not used it since installing and probably will not. So, moving back to my truly legal windows 10 home OS would be a god send at this time. Any ideas?

Download Media Creation Tool, make a Windows 10 Home USB install pen, do a clean install, you cant revert from 10 Pro to Home without a re-install of the OS as far as I know.

That's possible but it's worth a try to change the Product Key again. The product key on newer computers is embedded in the BIOS.

Best case: The OP reverts back to W10 Home
    Worst Case: Reinstall the OS

Simply run activation troubleshooter and revert to your original license. I install Home edition and simply run the troubleshooter to get the edition changed to Home edition single language. With Win 10 all editions are same due to dedup packaging.

There is no way to go back other than a format.

    Use this guide:
    Windows 10 Clean Installation Guide

OR since you have a Dell laptop, you can also use the Dell OS Recovery Tool

Once you run the Recovery Tool, it will ask you for the service tag then offer you 2 options:

    1) To create a bootable Dell SupportAssist Flash disk which you can boot from then go through the prompts to restore your OS and factory recovery partitions

    2) To simply create the Dell Windows 10 USB Flash Disk which has the Dell Update app and Dell Support Assist pre-installed but that's not the latest 1903 ISO it's the last 1809 ISO so keep that in mind if you want the latest edition, then stick to the first guide.

Here's another trick Factory REcovery to clean the problem if it still exists on the drive otherwise you will have to purchase from the manufacture it to restore your computer back to working order.
