My laptop has a problem accessing my main PC on my network. The PC is connected to the linksys router via LAN, while my laptop has a wireless connection.

Before, whenever i open the network page, vista is able to automatically find the computers on the network (i.e. my own, and my main PC). This is still true, however, whenever I click on the network link to my main PC (//TAI-PC), an error appears, stating that windows cannot access that particular computer.

The error code is 0x80070035 ('the network path was not found')

I have tried disabling my wireless and used a LAN connection instead, but the same error occurs.

Can someone please help me fix this error?

Perhaps, correct the network path some how?

    thanks in advance!

Actually I'm having the same problem, except I can access my desktop from my laptop but not vice versa. Have you enabled all settings and other options?

If you can access the computer using a "\\NAME," try accessing it using "\\IP_Adress."

You can find the IP Adress of your main PC using ipconfig.

If that works, it's a NetBIOS name resolution issue. If it doesn't work, then it's a bigger issue and we will go from there.

can another laptop access it? if not, it's the pc you want to access having the problem. else, it's the one who tries to get access :) (well.. it's somehow obvious)
