Here's my two cents.
I'm also connected to a home network through a router using wi-fi. I was unable to connect to other computers running XP before. Accessing Network seems not to display the connected computers (win xp machines). What i did is to manually type the computer name in the address bar. like:
\\PCXP1
or by local IP address:
\\192.168.0.124
i also found that if you are using norton internet security with default settings, it wont let you see computers on the network. disable the personal network in the options section. -
ok thnx,i will try

You need config IP address in network adapter , and change workgroup of your computer , and then enable File and Sprinter Sharing funtion in Network and Sharing Center , and then restart your computer , and try it again

Download this and install it on your XP machine: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...1d-ee46-481e-ba11-37f485fa34ea&DisplayLang=en
In Vista, open Network and Sharing Center. Click on Network Map, then View Full Map. You should see your XP machine if you installed that update on it. Double-click the computer to open it's shared folder and printer list.
