    network problem with vista

    can somebody help me to connect two coputers?
    on my notebook i have win vista and on second one i have win XP and between i have router.both can access to internet but i can't find share file from anyone of this two?! i try to use "windows easy transfer" but no lucky :mad:
    does anyone know how i can network this two computer?

    Here's my two cents.

    I'm also connected to a home network through a router using wi-fi. I was unable to connect to other computers running XP before. Accessing Network seems not to display the connected computers (win xp machines). What i did is to manually type the computer name in the address bar. like:

    \\PCXP1

    or by local IP address:

    \\192.168.0.124

    i also found that if you are using norton internet security with default settings, it wont let you see computers on the network. disable the personal network in the options section.

    You need config IP address in network adapter , and change workgroup of your computer , and then enable File and Sprinter Sharing funtion in Network and Sharing Center , and then restart your computer , and try it again
