    new to handbrake + dvd ripping

    well, i have a couple of movies i want to put on my ipod as i like them a lot. my question is, if i use handbrake to convert the files on the dvd for ipods, will dvd be still be viewable in a condition like before ripping on a normal dvd player? i am rly nervous about this so i want the movies on my ipod but i still want to use the dvd for watching it on my big tv. plz need some help.

    ahhh. let me get this straight.

    you want to know if ripping a DVD with a program called 'Handbrake' will destroy the DVD? no it won't, you DVD WILL still work in any DVD player.

    so if i rip the movie, the movie on the disc will be smae as before with nothing changed, correct?

    Considering DVDs are a read only media, it would be electronically impossible for a program to alter the contents of the DVD.
