hello guys, so i downloading a karaoke song online and it's in vcd .DAT file format. the DAT file plays just fine and the audio is great. however, i am trying to upload to this site but the site only accepts, wmv, avi or other standard video formats.

so i've tried many conversion methods, like using virtualdub, winavi and etc and they all convert the DAT file perfectly, except there is a problem in the audio. the problem is that when converted there is only voice on the left speaker, whereas in the original dat file, there is voice in both speakers. no matter what format i convert it to or using what program, it still have this problem.

so is there a way to edit the audio track in the converted video file so that it can have voice on both speakers? i've used sony vegas but when i import the video file, there audio track does not show up in the timeline. camtasia studio is not advanced enough to it. so what can i do?
