I recently moved school, and i am now allowed to take notes using a laptop in class. I'm getting an eee pc in a few days (linux version - then install xp)... so i'm just wondering... what is the best (preferably free) note-taking software available? it would be helpful if it allowed me to write formulas/ equations for maths/science quickly...
    thanks guys

If you are looking to get MS Office 2007 or already have it I would try out OneNote. :)

I agree. Onenote is incredible, but I don't know if you can handle that on the EEE.

Get the Acer Aspire One. Im sure it handles OneNote. Also there is a promotion from the Big M with students. Buy Office for 60 bucks so you wont have pirate it.
    that easy

I have an MSI Wind which should have similar specs to any of the new netbooks, and it has no problems running Onenote. :)

Also, you can get MS Office 2007 Ultimate for $59.95 from www.theultimatesteal.com... :)

y don't you look into a digital pen ? i saw one used once. just like a real pen, but you buy special note pads with a pattern on them that is recorded by the pen and when you plug the pen into your pc, it downloads the info.
