    nvidia HD-Audio/HDMI driver?

    Hi, i have the following driver installed:

    198.05

    could it be that i need an nvidia HD-Audio driver or an HDMI-Audio driver to automatically switch between the HDMI-Audio output and the speaker output whenever i plugin the external TV via HDMI ?

    Cause with my old win7 installation it worked, but now it doesnt anymore.

    try a different driver - the driver should include the audio functionality

    u have to manually pick the digital playback device by right clicking on the volume icon on lower right and selecting playback devices. in my case its the realtek digital output - select this as default or enable it to stream audio thru hdmi.
    you will then have to set it back to speakers if you want laptop speaker functionality later on

    in my two laptops, windows vista and 7 did not do that automatically, fyi.
