While playing games on my computer after a whitle the screen becomes black and the game stops for +/- 15 seconds.
Windows tells me : Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding, but has succesfully recovered.
After that I can go on and play the game until the same problem happens again.

I have 8600m GT, other specs in sig.

I reinstalled vista about a week ago, so I still have stock driver installed. I previously had 160.39 installed and I had the same problem.

    Event log error: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756372(WS.10).aspx

    Any suggestions?

Two potential places for getting graphics driver updates are Microsoft (not Windows) Update, and the nVidia website.

I would also check the temperatures on your card. GPU-Z will help with that, turn up the fan speed if necessary
