    Ok i have a gateway laptop i bought recently and supposly i will get the free windows vista upgrade disc in the mail.

    now if i dont feel like waiting however long that will take, will i just be able to download vista online from microsoft website then just sell my copy on ebay when i get it in the mail to get my money back?

    or will i run into a problem here?

    also when i do want to install vista whether its from the website or in the mail, how would i avoid losing my cd key for XP....like it says a few posts back

    u can if u want, but the only option to get the on.line upgrade at this moment is pay.as.u.go - so be ready to have ur cc nbr ready ;)

    cannot tell u here, i do not know if the upgrade CD comes with an activation key or not. If not then it is worthless!

    well, u must look for this type of answer in some other "dark" forums :)
    or wait until m$ does something if there is enough complaints out there, but then may be not

    and that was 3 questions :)

    Gateway will probably send you a key and you have to download the program from Microsoft, or send a disc.
