i hav e1705 t2300e core duo ge7900gs, i like ik8 but my temp of my gpu went to like 88C when i set the fans to high on gpu in temp control, pretty much all the higher range of tempatures were set to fast, i was running a graphic intensive screensaver at the time to test it. My driver is the newest xtremeG mobileforce as the dell driver was causing on and off freezing and the mouse cursor would disappear in WOW. I dont have sensor support enabled but i did and it didnt help, without sensor support it still hit 88C. Currently using speed fan but i liked ik8 fan program better especially with its force high speed fan options, but ik8 didnt seem to listen to my settings in temp control mode. Help plz.

Did you try just running your fans on low at all times? Also did you offset your temps by 8 degrees? I have heard about people having trouble with the temp control settings. I just always run my fans on low at all times, and I idle around 47-50 degrees and no more than 75 under load.

    I would try that. :)

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think i9k has been updates to be used with Core Duo processors. And besides, i9k is based of i8k anyway.
