just ordered my laptop without an os. i am planning to use an old xp home disk,i think ive had it since about 2001. can anyone tell me if i install it and download sp2 will it be just as good as buying a new disk?
by this i mean will it run as fast? have all the same features? and cope with new hardware and games?

it must not be an oem branded disk or currently installed on another computer. other than that, it should install and upgrade ok. GL
