The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    oupost 4 pro?

    Anybody know about outpost 4 pro? should i upgrade? does it use more or less resources? Thanks!

    What I've heard so far is that it does use more resources, but these reports are based on the pre-release versions. Hopefully, the release versions do not have any memory leak issues. However, even if it did use more memory, I would still upgrade as nothing beats Outpost when it comes to providing a complete firewall solution. I've been using Outpost since version 2 and am now a current user of version 3. I did try Comodo for a week, but it didn't live up to all the hype. I'm now back to using Outpost and will be upgrading to v4 once it is released.
