I don't know if this should go in the games section or here but anyway...
I want to have a sorta "overlay" over a fullscreen game. I mean, like the time or an image something that just hovers under your screen but over the game (I want a crosshair when I'm a sniper without editing game file). I could draw on my screen, but that's a little crude. Is that possible?
Thanks

So are you trying to add a crosshair to your game?

Ok so, I'm note sure if that kind of program exists, but here's a solution:
Goto this website: http://hacks4games.wordpress.com/2008/06/21/css-exode-v177/
It has some mods for crosshairs.
If this does not do it for you, then google mods for CCS, and they have a lot of different modifications from weapon skins to crosshairs.
Let me know if this helps. -

You dont want to draw on your screen right.
Try this instead. Take 2 pieces of fine thread and use scotch tape to affix them to the bezel. One piece runs lengthwise, the other width wise. The intersection point of these 2 lines is your point of interest -
Thanks, I'm not really looking for hacks though, it would be too risky.
and I don't really want to cheat, I don't want to modify the game at all... I basically just want to have another application over the game when its on fullscreen -
I know it's possible to do, I've done similar things with C# and stuff... I guess i'll give that a shot
EDIT:
This is exactly what I want: http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=359319
I don't understand how it works though and I get errors when I try to debug it in c# express 2008! (since it's made for an older version) -
You don't have to use other cheats because I'm pretty sure they have stand alone mods for cross hairs alone. I'm not big on hacks, but mods are fine; they sometimes even improve games. A good example is Quake 2 and 3. If you remember Q2, it had a rail gun that shot a straight laser with a spiral around it that looked really neat. In Q3 they ruined it because it was a straight line with circles. So someone made the mod that had the same effect from Q2, and everyone was happy. Lesson learned: mods can be a good thing.

but if I go on a VAC server with that I'll get banned right?

Hmm, that's a good question. Because I'm telling you to us a simple visual mod, and not a hack for winnning advantages. Could you ask the community that runs that server?
overlay fullscreen games?
