i know i made a topic similar to this a while a go but now its really starting to tick me off. my computer keeps switching from my custom power plan to one of the crappy asus power plans without warning. the same holds true even for the non asus power plans. what i mean is the it switches from those to the asus plans without warning.

ive run an av/malware scan which turned up nothing. is there a program that overrides the power options?

    Hi,

perhaps there is some preinstalled power management software which is the culprit. Or you accidentially press a hotkey which switches to one of the manufacturer provided power plans.

You may try if you can simply delete the custom power plans from your laptop manufacturer.
Uninstalling the additional power management software might be another option, but you should have a backup of the installation files of that software in case something goes wrong.
