I know vista has this sort of thing and I was wondering if it was possbile to do it on xp?

Mhh... Don't know if it can be done, but don't do it on a USB stick plzz.. It'll die faster than you can say 'write cycles'.
And it sounds like an overall bad idea (lag, overhead, speed...) -
Oh well....it was just a thought.

Like i said, Vista does this kind of thing. While it doesnt actually put the page file on usb it does chache files onto the empty space of a flash drive.

Yes, Vista's 'SuperFetch' will use USB drives to cache hard-drive data. A HD cache, however, is not quite the same as a page file.
Anyone remember creating RAM drives back in the old DOS days? ;D -
I remember setting up a Ramdrive on Win98 for my IE temp folder.
