    Hi NBR.

My friend bought a Dell Inspiron N5520 three weeks ago, everything went fine.

But he started to face BSOD with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NOPAGED_AREA twice a day from about a week.

Games is running fine, I told him to check temps under load, and it's fine too. He told me that it pops without a reason, while he is surfing, or even if he left it running and went somewhere.

I thought first it's the AMD driver, I tried updating the drivers, but sadly this is the only driver working. He will send me the laptop tomorrow, I will run several tests and I'm asking you guys about what I should do first.

    The specifications:
    i7-3610QM
    8GB DDR3 1333MHz
    AMD Radeon HD 7670M

    That's a useful tool.

OP: That error message sometimes - if not, often - has to do with bad memory. Try running MemTest86+ and/or whatever memory diagnostic software you like, and if you get errors during testing, it means the memory will need to be replaced.

There isn't a lot of info on that krnl file, so I would suggest running MemTest86+ still. Also, do a thorough virus scan on your system, as some discussions online I came across alluded to possible infection causing that error code.

For advanced (and thorough) virus removal procedure, maybe this will help you: MajorGeeks Support Forums - View Single Post - READ & RUN ME FIRST Malware Removal Guide (incl. spyware, virus, trojan, hijacker)

If your memory turns out to be bad per MemTest86+ results, you'll need to replace the module(s) that are defective.
