Check if photoshop.exe is listed under processes in WIndows task Manager(CRT+Alt+del). If it is then end the processes and try opening it again.

Hello fellow Aaron, I would suggest uninstalling Photoshop completely, then running CCleaner. After which reinstall it, it should definitely work assuming Windows Firewall and Kaspersky are both off or it is added to their exclusion list. If it still doesn't it's possible you have a corrupt installer for Photoshop.

:) mate i cant figure out why it wont work! tried what you said a few times and no good... i didnt manually add photoshop to the exclusion list in kaspersky as i couldnt find anywhere to anually do that... but being that imageready will open i wouldnt have thought that would have been the issue... i really don think the installation is corrupt from the disk or anything as i have used it and installed a few times on my desktop... but it just wont seem to work on my notebook..?

when i click on photoshop the egg timer pops up for a while then nothing... i hit ctrl+alt+del and it has a temp file and also photoshop.exe there... but it doesnt actually open...
