    playing dvds

    i want to watch dvds on my computer but i only have window media player to do so, i was wondering what are some of the best in quality programs that cab be downloaded off the internet to play dvds, thats all i needed to know so thanks for the help

    Media Player Classic. Included in K-Lite Codec Pack.

    Another vote for VLC. Excellent media player.
    CCCP and MPC may also play DVDs, but I haven't tried that combo yet.

    I use Windows Media Center for DVDs right now(probably just me, but it seems to improve the picture quality). VLC is good too, and takes you straight to the title menu. I like GOM a lot, just never cared for how it plays DVDs. Doesn't seem to intuitive. But maybe I'm doing something wrong.

    Vista Media Center seems to upscale the DVD's and the picture is very good. I've tried a few other programs, but still think VMC has a better picture

    WMP 11 would be just fine to play DVD's.
