    plug two computers with usb?

    can i plug my laptop to my desktop using an usb cable and that the desktop detects the laptop as an external drive (for file transfering)? never heard of this so i'm wondering if this is possible.. :p

    No not as an external drive but you can create a network between the two for file sharing

    yeah you can use a simple 5 port switch to connect them in a wired network ($5)

    That's not a USB HDD in the laptop so it won`t work.
    The network is the easiest choice, or if you have a rack drive in your desktop and don`t mind opening the laptop...that is , if the cable fit.
