    problem with msn messenger

    hi
    i installed msn messemger 4.7 on my new dv2500t the messenger was a older version and was for XP.
    i am unable to use that after installing.
    so when i was searching it in the control panel to uninstall it i cant find it in the list.
    what might be the problem??
    its appearing in the system tray and all programs.

    Do you have XP or Vista?

    Look in CP --> Add/remove --> Windows components

    and by the way... why msn 4.7 ? thats quite old compared to now lol

    anyway... u could always download CCleaner ;)

    i have vista...for tym being i disabled it to start when windows starts...
    i want to uninstall it at any cost...help me

    I am pretty sure that you cant use an older versions of MSN. I recall trying to install version 6 but it wouldn't let me sign in and told me I had to install the current version to continue.
