hey guys, hope u guys saw my previous thread about the graphics card update problem, well i got another which might be related.
On some websites when the page loads the shockwave player of flash player, usually when there a plenty of vids in one page, the whole firefox crashes.
I know its flash or shockwave related because when i tries it in chrome, it crashes and tells me that shockwave player has stopped responding.
I've also unistalled and reinstalled both players but still the same problem.

    Any ideas what to do?

The flash player is different for Chrome and Firefox. Chrome is 80% Internet Explorer, and uses IE plug-ins. Firefox is it's own beast, and uses different plug-ins.

The first thing I'd suspect in a situation like this is the AV software you use.
The second thing I'd look at are codecs -- have you allowed any codecs to be installed that take over file types?

In any case, there's not enough info here to label this a Sony specific problem, so you should have posted it to a generic group.

Also i uninstalled k-lite codec pack which i had but still same problem

Did you check if your Flash/Shokwave players are the newest release?

    Flash players are odd things...
I know one version went bad for me on Firefoy - out of nowhere...
Update solved the problem in that case.

i'll wait and hope for new versions then, but i find it strange that it crashes in all browsers even though arth1 says that chrome and firefox plugins are different.
In any case i'll post a link to a page that constantly crashes if its any help

    http://www.psu.com/Final-build-footage-of-Killzone-2-News--a0006032-p0.php

And yeah it is the newest release, directly from adobe's website

    Ok.
Can you deinstal Adobe Flash, clean out temp files, shadow copies, restart and then reinstal the latest version?

Sorry to get back to you so late on this.

Easiest way - get CCleaner and run it.

There is also a Windows tool under accessories.

This is a Adobe Flash 10 problem, Flash 10 has been crashing a-lot of browsers, the problem is huge, just go to the adobe forums or google "flash 10 crashes", from what Ive been reading. Adobe has kept quiet for 3 months eventhough they know browsers are crashing, from what I have read, Adobe offered work arounds that dont work, I have uninstalled Flash 10 from all of my computers (which have all crashed with Flash 10) and looking to go back to V9, its a pretty pathetic problem and for Adobe to carry it out this long, they screwed it up and they know it.

I haven't had any problems with FP 10. It's always best to uninstall the last before installing the newest.

Guys, I tried uninstalling completely and reinstalling, no luck. I guess I will have to wait until Adobe do something about it seriously. Its amazes me that for some machines it works just fine and for some, it crashes.
