Hello. I currently run Windows Vista Ultimate and have the latest updates. I decided to uninstall NOD32 because it was conflicting with a windows vista program, user profile service. After uninstalling, there were still registry keys and files present in my computer. I deleted all the files and registry keys manually but I can't seem to delete nodshex.dll found in the Eset folder. Every other file in the eset folder I was able to delete except this file. It says destination folder access denied, you need permission to delete this folder. Here are a list of things I have tried to delete the file and they HAVE NOT worked.
    - Transferred ownership of file to my name
    - turned off user account control
    - startup in safe mode and tried to delete it.
    - used killbox third party program to delete it.
    - signed into my administrator account.
    - turned off all processes relating to nod32 through task manager.
    - changed security settings by right clicking, security tab, advance

Is there a way to delete this file without formatting my hard drive? Thanks in advance

i would recommend using a software like
    registery scrub
    ccleaner
but i guess the real challenge for you will be finding versions of tese compatible with vista

Thanks for the suggestion. I installed CCleaner and it installs and runs fine but does not delete the file.

I also just found out that when you right-click on a file, the nod32 command still shows up in the menu and have no clue on how to remove that either.
