I recently reinstalled windows after I had some bad driver conflicts and after installed WMP 11 I noticed I couldn't get any of the music on my external HD to store itself in the library. I go and select the correct folder and click OK and nothing happens. any idea what happened? I have never run into this problem before. I tried to roll back to WMP 9 but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

You have to add the folder under options and it takes quite a while for it to copy all the files or location of the files to WMP. Not sure about external harddrives. Shouldn't matter though. Cause it worked fine with my iTunes while using external HD.

well I have done this several times and this time nothing has happened. its been days since I first tried to do this. you know how after you tell it what folder to look in the directory location stays so you can see it? well once I select the directory and hit OK that disappears and its like I never told it what directory to look in.
