    just wondering if theres any program that will mass re-encode mp3's?

    If you're talking about just dropping a bunch of .wav files and running a batch job, use RazorLame. That program hasn't been updated in some time, but it works great for me.

    I use dbPowerAmp to convert music. It works great for converting between file types, as well as a way to lower the bitrate.
