So I have a Windows XP media center computer but with an mobile intel integrated graphics yet Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor tells me that home premium is the best choice and that it will support Aero interface. Is this right?

I personally say no, that isnt right. I think it would be able to run aero, but not for extended periods of time. i would think that your lappy would produce too much heat.
but thats just me -
What kind of integrated graphics card do you have? Aero will run on the GMA950 and the integrated ATi/nVidia cards. Vista Home Basic does not have the Aero interface while Home Premium does.

Its Mobile Intel 945 GM Express Chipst Family and the label on the computer says "Windows Vista Capable" not "Windows Vista Premium Ready" I'm probably going to get Premium anyway because i would kind of be downgrading if I got Basic. Thanks
question about Windows Vista home premium
