If you have more than 1 license yes.
(Kaspersky's most common version is 3 icenses for example)

If your version in not OEM (OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer - basically software tied the hardware its first installed on)

So if its not OEM and the license doens't tie it to the hardware, you can instal it on another computer provided the previous installation is removed.
I don't know the legal situation if the old installation is still on the HDD but the HDD is unuseable.

I would recommend you swap to something else though - MacAffee is terrible for using resources and slowing yor computer to a crawl.

Personally I love Kaspersky, use it and recommend it.
Good marks and praise is sung about Nod32 and the corporate version of Norton 2009 - although Norton was a resouce Hog in the past.

The favoured free antivirus is Avira.

That depends on whether you bought the McAfee software separately, or if it came bundled with the OEM software preinstalled on the system when you originally bought it.

If you made an account at McAfee when you set up the program on the Dell, you can go to the account and check to see how many other computers can be added for free. Some versions are for one computer only and some ore for three. Depends on what you bought.

If you don't rember how you set up the account originally, you can go to mcafee.com and do a live chat with their support people and they can give you further instructions. You should have the license key with you when you talk to them and you will need the e-mail addy that you set up the account with.
