under the "issues" part its supposed to clean out the errors it finds in the registry, right? but whenever i do that and i look in the registry everything is still there, how do i get those errors out of there.
-
First you have to "scan for issues". Then "fix selected issues". Everything should be deleted after that.
-
thats what i do..but everything is still in the registry.
-
What do you mean? So you open up regedit and see your registry is still there? Or specific entries are still there? Or you run the 'fix selected issues' part, click 'fix all' and then scan again and find the same problems?
Just keep running it, it will often find new issues each time, something is wrong if you keep getting the same issues after fixing. -
Are you running it as an admin?
-
Exactly as the above poster says. In Vista you have to run it as admin for Ccleaner to work correctly.
-
of course my registry is still there..i'm talking about the specific entries Ccleaner finds. and when i use the "fix selected issues' part like i always do i do scan again and all of the same problems are still there.
anyways i will try to run it as that admin thing and see if it works. i'll post if it works -
okay running it as an admin seemed to work. thanks
-
If you have any more questions be sure to ask.
-
so it does work with vista?
