what is the official site of downloading winrar?
rarlab.com or win-rar.com?
while winrar is always free, what is the competitiveness of winzip there to exist for so long and asking for $$$
I think winrar could extract *.zip as well, and doing most of the rest people will do with zip files

AFAIK, it's not free. http://www.rarlab.com/license.htmkenny1999 likes this. -
They both are terrible. Try PeaZip.

I 5th for 7zip.....plus it is free
Haven't found a zip or rar or other that it couldn't work with unless the file was corrupted or badly formatted. -
8th for 7zip. Though I use WinZip at work (because hey, that's what work provides), I personally don't see a reason to buy a personal license when 7zip does the same thing (or better) for free.

another recommendation for 7-zip.
