I set up an object dock link to www.menupages.com (best website ever, btw!) and I wanna use a custom high-resolution icon of a Chinese food take-out box.

I did search and found a few, just none I like. Usually they were low resolution or they were ugly. If anyone's kinda bored just hanging around this forum, wanna help me find a good one? Also, do those boxes have a specific name that would make searching more efficient? I've been randmoly trying "take out box" "Chinese food container", stuff like that.

Object doc seems to be able to take any .ico file and other file types, includingm .jpeg, but i prefer .ico so I don't have a white box background.

    Thanks in advance,

    Evan

I can trace one for you into vector format if you can post a style you like.

I tried just copying this image and setting the jpeg as an icon, but it brings the white border.

    http://www.acclaimimages.com/cgi-bin/photobase/comps.pl?do=get_comp&image_number=0269-0610-0908-1450

Is there any way to eliminate that white border and maybe square it a little (w/o distorting it too much)?

I don't wanna burden you, but if it's a quick thing I'd much appreciate it. (I know nothing about photo editing, etc... I can barely use MS paint.)

no., but thanks for your effort.

I need it as a .ico file.

Also, i meant square the overall layout of the icon, so the distance from the left-most pixel to the right-most one is approx. the same distance as form the top-most pixle to the bottom most one. So if you were hypothetically to draw a border around the whole deal, it would be a square - basically just stretching the entire icon horizontally a tad, but Leaving the dimensions and tapering of the actual box as-is.

5th icon from the left of the Dock. Doesn't have to look like that, just better looking than that. :]

    easy

1)Create blank page with 256x256pixel dimension.

    2)Insert/edit photo

    3) Save as .ico file
