I'm trying to watch some videos in a quicktime player embedded at this site:
    http://www.vicfirth.com/features/DCI2009/video/dci09_scv1HQ.html

I'm running firefox 3.0.13 on windows vista, and once the video has finished loading (and even before it has finished loading), playing the movie will cause it to freeze every 10-15 seconds or so.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with vista, firefox, or quicktime itself, so if anyone has similar problems, could you tell me how to fix it?

I use QT Lite 2.9.0 instead of the full QuickTime player from Apple, basically QT Lite is the same, just without all the junks. Give it a try, I never had problems in FF with it. Uninstall the full version first though.

Just updated to latest FF, still freezing up

I'm not sure about this QT lite business, if my old laptop with some weaker specs could play the videos fine, why would this laptop be having issues?

..is it because I am running vista instead of XP now? :(

Give QT Lite a try, it's not another player from another company or something, it is still using the exact same files from Apple, only thing is they stripped all the useless stuff. It has nothing to do with Vista, both full QuickTime player and QT Lite should work fine in it.
