Hello, I'm editing Prores 4444 format footage at 1920 x 1080, on windows 7, using premiere pro 5.5 (and 6).

What i'm noticing is that inside the program the footage will play at proper speed for a second or so, then slow down to almost stopping.

when played outside of the program the footage will play in quicktime without slowing.

what is slowing me up here?

    thanks

    Jonathan

We need your computer specs before answering that. Also what program are you using to play back video?

ProRes 4444 is a Apple format. Maybe ask your question on the Adobe forums?

Also that I7 at 1.73 seems too slow for editing that format. I7 should be higher GHz.
