I installed winows 7 on a new computer with no previous OS.All was good untill I installed the drivers. I lost the FX key board lighting. I re installed a second time. Now there are 2 OSs. How can I start from scratch as if it was new again?

If you want to start from scratch, just simply run the Windows installer again but while you're in the hard drive partition section just delete all the available partitions so only one OS will be available when you install it.

Alternatively you can go to your existing OS that you want to keep, then on the START ORB search type in "msconfig" and press enter. On the Boot tab, click on the redundant OS and click on the delete button so it tells the computer not to boot into that OS. Also go to "Computer Management" (type this in the search bar), then "Disk Management". Check the partitions carefully and then remove the redundant partition by right clicking on it and choose "Delete the Volume".

First would boot from cd/dvd drive and delete and wipe clean the HDD and then reinstall windows again. But also you have to make sure you get the right driver for the windows 7 or windows 7x64 and since you didn't tell use your O/S version or hardware types it makes it hard to know what your referring to and about?

Some manufacturers produce an "re-imaging guide" that details the order in which you install drivers - it shouldn't matter, but it does.

Windows 7 is positively primitive when it comes to installation procedures. Oh, and 125+ individual Microsoft updates if you don't have slip-streamed installation media. Yikes!
