I've been in the market for a new 4GB flash drive, but the only one's I've found have ready boost on them. I have no need/use/want for readyboost so I haven't bought one yet since it would be a waste of storage space.
is there a way to delete it?

You don't delete readyboost, it's a windows service and doesn't actually come on the flash drives themselves. To disable readyboost however you can run services.msc from the start menu search box (just type it in and press enter)

Scroll down to the readyboost entry, right click on it and where it says Automatic on the window that appears change the option using the drop down box to Disabled or Manual.

And if your using a flash drive you may as well use readyboost as it apparently speeds your system up... ;)

    hmmm, I smell false Advertising.
I've been seeing flash drives that say that they are equiped with ready boost. If what you are saying is true then the advertising should say "readyboost compatable" or "can be used for readyboost" not "with readyboost".

Well technically speaking they are correct in saying that as only certain types of flash memory can be used by readyboost, I don't know the techy side of it but readyboost only detects certain flash memory or something to that effect.

Readyboost requires flash drives with a certain speed or it won't work/will actually slow your computer down.

Yeah, you're fine--it's not going to use up space (unless you enable readyboost).
