The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    can anyone recommen a good download manager that can download files from file sharing site like uploading.com without any problems. Thanks

    Doesn't Flashget have adware/spyware?

    Anyway, I've heard that the blandly titled Free Download Manager is the best of the best. (though, personally, I don't use any download managers)


    Edit: nevermind, I just found out FlashGet is now freeware.. I guess it's good then.

    I've been considering looking at some other download managers but I've used Flashget for a few years now and it has always worked pretty well for me. There shouldn't be any adware/spyware with the newer releases.
