My recovery partition has disappeared on my lenovo leaving me unable to restore my computer. Does anybody know any good hard drive error checkers? I still have a warranty are they usually covered? Thanks.

have you reinstalled operating system at all as this can wipe any partition hidden drive.

what hard drive have you got so we can point you in the right direction.

you could try HD Tune which has a error checker. its not the best but it will check if you have any bad sectors on your hard drive.

chkdsk is built into your OS

It is most likely a partition, not a drive missing. What does Disk Manager show? (START > right click COMPUTER, left click MANAGE, drill down to DISK MANAGEMENT
