No. You can make them if you have DVDs.

Almost all computers come with a program which allows you to burn recovery discs.

Are you sure that your Vostro didn't come with a Windows CD and a Drivers CD? Dell now does this and gives you the recovery partition.

i was wondering if it was needed to buy software such as Acronis True Image, which allows you to copy your entire PC, including the operating system, applications, user settings, and all data. In the event of a system or disk crash, virus attack or other fatal failures you can restore the entire disk. But if i can just make a copy with a dvd, how can I do it Lithus?

If you want a full system image, then you should get the software. Otherwise, you can make restore discs, backup, and reinstall.

i got all the CDs... but the recovery partition is different to all the CDs. CDs are all basically re-installation disks. i found this .iso image file on that partition. so, i was wondering whether this iso makes a recover CD similar to the that of of the recovery partition...
