I'm trying to reformat Vista to XP but i get an error:
"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer"

    This is driving me crazy.
I know that it is fixable with a floppy, but i don't have one (its a laptop - and i dont have external one)

Is there an easy way of fixing it?

Yes disable "AHCI" in the BIOS or slipstream sata drivers on your xp pro SP2(i also reccomend that you slipstream SP2 on your xo disk too) disk.

It sounds like you don't have an XP SP2 install disk. You'll need to slipstream SP2 before attempting to install.

    Thank You!
i've been googling for the answer but only found how to make it work with a floppy
    This works great.

Should i enable it once it's done, or will it cause problems?

Do have access to the Sata Drivers (Intel® Matrix Storage). I think you have disable in BIOS then install XP then install the driver then reboot and re-enable the AHCI but i am not sure and then install all the other drivers(chipset then video card ect).

YOu can try if you want here if you know what chipset you have.
