I'm not sure i'm using the right term, in fact i dont know if there is a term for it.
You know when you type the url for a website, and you mis-spell it... well, what should happen is you should get some kind of not found message or some crap like that

Instead, i get a lame auto search engine, saying not found here are some search results. This seems to be due to a program installed on my computer, and i want to remove it. But how?

I don't think that is a program. It's called a default search engine. When you type the wrong address it "tries" to help you find what you are looking for. I know that TweakVI and Tune Up Utilities 2007 have a way that you can change the default search engine. Hope this helps.
