Hi, guys. Why can't I publish a movie from movie maker into avi format correctly? Is the GTX 260M 1GB not capable enough to handle it?

This has nothing to do with how powerful your graphics card is. This is solely Windows Movie Maker's fault; it cannot publish movies in the AVI format, only WMV and DV formats. In other words, Windows Movie maker is made like this.

What you can do is publish the movie in the WMV format, then use a third-party program to convert the video to the AVI format. Personally, I use Format Factory for jobs like this. It's free and it works. :D

ooh. I do not realize it, coz in the publishing settings, it is stated that movie maker is able to convert into DV-AVI format. but everytime I use that option, the result is awkward.
    Thanx anyway for the info

Lol. Not able to handle it? If anything, that powerful card is being underutilized by such a program.

If you want to see the true strength of your card, edit some High Def. (anything with a rez over 1440x1080) in a program like Premiere Pro CS4 or EDIUS and you'll give your graphics card some REAL work.
