I have a collection of .mov files that represent short video clips I have taken with my digital camera. Before my main PC's hard drive (HD) crashed, the files appeared as thumbnail images of scenes from the movies. After I replaced the HD and reinstalled most of the programs, including the QuickTime software I use as the .mov files default program. However, the thumbnail file images have been replaced by generic ages of the QuickTime program. I have attached a copy of the generic thumbnail image. Does anyone tell me how to restore the file images as images from the movies? I apologize if my explanation is unclear and I'll be happy to try to re-explain as needed. Unfortunately I don't have an image example of a .mov file as a movie image thumbnail.

Thanks for reading and any suggestions.
