When I try to uninstall something in revo uninstaller it gives me four uninstall options: built-in, safe, moderate, and advanced. Are there risks to moderate and advanced? As a computer noob is clicking the "safe" option my best bet, or is the only difference between the modes the amount of time it takes? Will any of the options ever give something to remove that shouldn't be removed?

    Thanks!

I do advanced, just does a more thorough scan and deletes everything. You can go ahead and do advanced, just takes a little longer than the others.

Right now I am sticking with "moderate" (which I think was the one by default)... Haven't tried advanced though.

McGrady > So do u mean with the moderate the uninstall is not 'fully' complete n clean??? Or like it doesn't delete everything?? *asking to understand better*

Moderate does the common places in the registry and hard drive. Advanced just looks in more places outside the common places. Even when I do advanced, I still find places that need cleaning up on certain applications.

Oooppsss.. I didn't know this. Thanks @ McGrady...

I usually did the moderate and followed it up with a quick run of CCleaner (and/or some times EasyCleaner too) and I was thinking it was ok.

I will try this advanced thing sometimes then... :) Thanks again. Cheers.

I normally use advanced, double checking anything I delete is in bold.
