Can I run Win 7 64 bit in 3GB memory, and 32 bit programs in win 7 64 bit?

Yep, Bullit is right. I'm running 64-bit on 2 GB of RAM and it works just fine (though I don't do any heavy tasks) and all my 32-bit programs have worked thus far.

I think the problem is only with device drivers -- 32 bit applications will work fine, 32 bit drivers won't work.

I have one computer running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit with 3GB. If you look at the folders on your hard disk you'll find that Windows creates one folder for x86 (32 bit) programs and one folder for x64.
