Yes, I am new at this.
I am being told on first run that some files may be corrupted.
Softpedia, the site I am downloading from says that a 'Download Manager' is needed.
Help me understand what is happening.

    CRC failed in basic/avewin32.dll

shows up in the program run

    your help is appreciated

Wait is this your scan results or after you tried to install Avira? A download manager is NOT required for Avira. If this is occurring when you're trying to install Avira, or Avira is messed up, uninstall it and grab a copy from Avira itself.
