I would never choose to run redundant apps at the same time.

I had SpySweeper and the old MS AntiSpyware always trying to wrestle control over the other. One would block the other, and vice versa.....lol -
I wouldn't suggest running multiple anti-spyware services at once, as they do fight for control sometimes. With that said, you should be fine running two anti-virus programs as I've run as many as three and never had a problem.

thanks, that helps, although i would never run 2 anti-virus at the same time, there is not really a need for such a thing, unless u get a bad program in the first place. anti-spyware is slightly different though, coz for the first time i got another program that actually has a spyware monitoring built in. so now i've got two, that why i was asking. now i turn off one of them thanks to all of you guys comment, thanks!
running two anti-spyware program
